Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are the generic versions of Ozempic and Mounjaro, the hottest weight loss agents available today. They are both GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide) agonists, and they work by enhancing fullness and reducing appetite, in turn promoting weight loss. They are injected subcutaneously once a week and the dose is increased at 4 week intervals until you reach a dose that works well for you. Most of the potential side effects are gastrointestinal related, belching, bloating, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Yes. Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) or in patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Patients who have a history of gallbladder disease or pancreatitis are cautioned against use. Alcohol use is highly discouraged as well.
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide actually begin to work rather quickly. Every patient is different and not everyone will have the same response to treatment. Typically though, patients will begin to notice the effects within the first few weeks and the weight will start to drop as well. These are not wonder drugs and every patient has to do their part in losing the weight and keeping it off. Positive lifestyle changes are necessary for success and that includes eating a healthy/clean diet, exercising regularly, drinking water and getting adequate rest.
State of Health NV offers Testosterone Replacement therapy (TRT), as well as other hormones/agents to compliment the treatment programs such as Anastrozole, Clomid, and more. We also offer oral medications to help get things moving in the right direction, like Sildenafil, Tadalafil, and others.
Low T levels can cause irritability, weight gain, erectile dysfunction, decreased muscle mass, hair loss, and a low libido, to name a few. The American Urological Association notes low testosterone as being below 300 ng/dl, but State of Health NV treats the person, not a number. If you suspect your levels are low or just want to feel like a young stud again, shoot us an email and lets have a consultation to check where you're at and get you back to feeling great again.
Testosterone is the major sex hormone in males. It begins to decline 1 to 2% per year starting at age 30, and continues to drop 1 to 3% a year thereafter. Causes linked to low testosterone levels include aging, obesity, and metabolic syndrome (high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high cholesterol levels, and belly fat). Therapy is not recommended in men with Prostate of Breast cancer, or if hematocrit levels are elevated.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. They are the "new" old kid on the block. There are various peptides that are utilized for pro-aging support, anti-inflammatory agents, muscle-building properties, help in the bed room, losing weight, and recovery. They work like a lock and key in the body, putting its use only where it's meant to be. The beauty of peptides are their specificity and safe profile.
